Beech trees often form dense, high canopies with silver grey trunks rising like columns. When you look up, the overlapping leaves filter the light, creating a soft, green glow - much like stained glass in a cathedral. This effect is especially pronounced in spring and early summer when the leaves are fresh and translucent.
