In this painting, I focused on the vibrant relationship between a bumblebee and a thistle flower. I loved playing with the contrast between the bee’s deep, velvety blacks and yellows and the rich purples of the flower. The background is a lively green, dotted with splashes of colour to bring energy and spontaneity. I wanted to capture the texture and buzz of a summer moment—up close, alive, and full of movement.
