Tintagel, another iconic place on the North Cornwall coast, is absolutely stunning! With it's turquoise and cobalt blue sea and rugged cliff side, it remains a view I will never tire of. This painting uses a variety of mediums to achieve the atmosphere I wanted to depict. After blocking in the base colours with acrylic paint, I then used soft pastel on top for the sea and oil pastel for the grass and land. I don't often use both these mediums together, but it worked for this painting.
