Christmas is fast approaching!

Another busy season, drawing and painting amongst other activities! My time has been split between landscape painting and commissioned pet portraits, both of which I love to do.

The 'Wild flower meadow' painting was really fun to produce. I like to challenge myself so this painting was purely from my imagination, not taken from a photo or painted on site. The Photo doesn't really do it justice, there's a lot of detail and as I was painting, it reminded me of George Seurat's use of pointillism - thousands of dots!

The Kingfisher was another challenge. I have the privilege of working as a supply secondary school Art teacher, which I love. The children are encouraged to use a variety of medium, building up layers and experimenting with different techniques. In between lessons, I did just that and worked on my favourite bird, the Kingfisher; I'm pretty pleased with the result and plan to do one off originals of various birds and wildlife in the near future. Do feel free to make any suggestions, or if you'd like to commission a favourite bird/animal, please message me, they make great presents!

Finally, I will be having a SALE for the whole of January! 25% off all Originals, Prints and Commissions......watch this space!
