This is an acrylic and soft pastel painting that I did when we had a spate of dark gloomy weather……..we seem to be having a lot of those recently! Wildflowers, warm air and a good view is good for the soul so I painted this in anticipation of the Spring and Summer air to come.

High quality prints can be purchased from the shop.This is a celebration of the beauty of the flora and fauna from my recent trip to Madeira. The combinations of the rich greens and browns of the foliage, coupled with the vibrancy of the contrasting colours of the flowers was breathtakingly stunning!. I did many studies whilst on holiday and then prepared a composition once I returned home. I have tried hard to capture the saturation of colour, but nothing can really mimic the vibrancy of the real thing.
