Old Sarum and linseed field

Just completed another commission. It’s the largest painting I’ve produced to date - 100cm x 150cm and has been thoroughly enjoyable. Producing a painting this scale requires careful planning, you can just see Salisbury Cathedral on the right hand side. I will have to go in search for another linseed field next spring, the farmer of this field informs me that this one will be wheat next year.
